Clear GIFs: We use “clear GIFs”, also known as “web beacons”, which are small image files embedded in our newsletters. These clear GIFs let us know whether you opened our newsletter, clicked on any content section, or shared the newsletter with someone else. This provides us with useful information regarding the effectiveness of our newsletters, which we can use to ensure we’re delivering relevant information to our users.

Local HTML5 Storage:

We use HTML5 local storage to store your default volume level (e.g., the volume at which you prefer to listen to sounds on eleharris.com) and, in the case of premium users, to configure widget color controls. If you access the mobile version of our website, we use HTML5 local storage to store certain cookie data, including your user plan, authentication data, your username, and preferences. We also use HTML5 local storage to keep the track ID of the last 250 recordings or podcasts you listened to. This information helps us suggest content that may interest you once you’ve created an account on eleharris.com.

Depending on your browser, you can remove local storage by clearing or deleting your cache and cookies. We do not use HTML5 local storage to collect any personal information.

Activity Tracking: We use Localytics, a service of Char Software, Inc. (“Localytics”) to obtain usage data from our iOS and Android mobile apps to help us understand how users interact with our applications. Localytics is used to track in-app activities such as likes, follows, and plays. This information, including your IP address, is transmitted to and stored by Localytics on servers in the United States.

App Performance Tracking: Our mobile apps use performance and analytics technology from adjust.io, a service operated by Adjust GmbH (“Adjust”). When you launch the ELE HARRIS app, Adjust collects and installs event data such as the number of recordings (podcasts) played and usage time of our iOS and Android apps to help us understand how users interact with our apps and to optimize and analyze mobile marketing campaigns.

For this analysis, Adjust uses your anonymized (hashed) IDFA or Android ID and your anonymized (hashed) IP and MAC address. The hashes used are one-way and cannot be used to identify you or your mobile device individually. To opt out of Adjust tracking, please see the Opt-Out Options section below.

Crash Reports: We use Crashlytics, Inc. (“Crashlytics”) to report any crashes that affect our mobile apps. Crashlytics software is embedded in our Android app. If any of these apps crashes during normal use, the app sends certain information about the incident to Crashlytics. This information includes device type, OS version, some hardware data from your mobile device, the time of the malfunction, the state of the app at the time of the crash, and stack traces.

The information does not include your IP address or any data that could be used to identify you or your mobile device individually, and it does not include any other personal data from your device.

We believe it is important that you can control the collection of your personal data when using the eleharris.com platform, and that you can disable cookies or any technology used to collect your information. To opt out, if you are using iOS, go to the settings on your iOS device and open the ELE HARRIS tab. On an Android device, you need to open the ELE HARRIS app and open the basic settings tab. From there, you can simply disable activity tracking and/or crash reporting to stop the collection of analytical data sent by the app.
